For those of you who have to keep track of miles driven in your car for business purposes, we know it can be a pretty painful process. It’s something that you do nearly every day, multiple times a day. When you finally get a chance to sit down and file those mileage expenses, the last thing you want to do is take out the calculator to figure out just how much you can be reimbursed for.
The IRS rates for mileage reimbursement change and your business may have a unique policy towards it. It’s no surprise that confusion over mileage expenses is one of the most common things we hear from our users.
To the excitement of our road warriors, we’re rolling out a Mileage Calculator that lets you input the number of miles you want to expense and then then have a custom rate automatically applied so you don’t have to do any arithmetic.
Administrators can opt into this feature and have it apply the current IRS rate (which is 57.5 cents per mile) or set a custom rate. Employees can then use the Calculator whenever they choose to expense their Mileage.
