The 5 Best CFO Summits of Fall 2019

Serene conference setting full of learners

Finance and accounting professionals have a vibrant mix of events available across the US this fall. In addition to software-specific user conferences such as QuickBooks Connect and Sage Intacct Advantage (see you there!), about a dozen general interest educational conferences will fan out across North America this conference season.

We flipped through the brochures, watched the hype videos, and tearfully got inspired by the testimonial quotes. Here, in chronological order, are our picks for the best five CFO conferences of Fall 2019.

Connect CFO Leadership

October 20–23, Boston

The large, diverse program on offer at this year’s AFP has something for everyone: not just sessions on diverse topics, but dedicated tracks focusing on FP&A, payments, risk management (extra hot this year), career development, and more. Splashy TV personalities fill out the keynote slots as per usual, but the draw is the diversity of content and developmental aim.

This stellar production enters its eighth year as one of the most compelling events of the season. While some topics are standard conference fare—“Communicating Financial Information To Non-Financial People,” “Debunking Cybersecurity”—the conference stands out for its uniquely uplifting, developmental focus on leadership and women’s empowerment.
